A local woman was arrested Saturday afternoon after she was accused of attempting to flee from Columbus police officers on a bicycle.
At approximately 5:25 p.m., CPD officers were sent to a convenience store in the 200 block of North Gladstone Avenue in regards to a woman harassing customers, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
Officers spoke to the woman, however, she became argumentative and refused to identify herself when the officers attempted to issue her a trespass warning, Harris said. The woman, later identified as Katrina M. Wade, 27, rode off on a bicycle a short time later, Harris said.
The officers located Wade on a nearby street, but she refused to stop. Wade was eventually detained and placed under arrest, Harris said.
She was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail where she was held on preliminary charges of two Bartholomew County warrants, resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct.
