Elizabeth Bradbury, 75, of Columbus, passed away at 2:55 p.m. Saturday, February 22nd, 2020 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
She was born October 8th, 1944, in Jackson, Kentucky, to Etta and Gusta Gabbard. She married John Bradbury on March 19th, 1990.
Elizabeth moved to Columbus in 1963. She started her career working at Dell Brothers. Elizabeth then made her career move to Cummins Inc. She started at Cummins in June 1965 as a computer operator. She retired in 1995 after working 30 years as a computer operator.
Elizabeth enjoyed traveling, reading, working in the yard, decorating her house for the holidays, volunteering at First Christian Church, and spoiling her 6 grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years; son, Chad Gabbard of Fishers; daughter, Melinda Piotrowski of Greenwood; daughter, Angie Richards of Lutz, Florida; grandchildren, Emma Gabbard of Fishers, Kyle Gabbard of Fishers, Luke Gabbard of Fishers, Tyler Piotrowski of Greenwood, Kylee Richards of Lutz, Florida and Kinley Richards of Lutz, Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John Gabbard; brothers, Ray Gabbard, Roy Gabbard, Donald Gabbard and Charles Gabbard; sisters, Margie Barnett, Edna Frasure and Beulah Robinson.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 28th, 2020 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Tyler Tolbert and Steve Wiggins officiating.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday.
Mrs. Bradbury will be laid to rest at Garland Brook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Christian Church Building Fund or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
