Nine Columbus East High School educators showed their support for those in their school community who had been impacted by cancer by cutting their hair for the Share the Love, Get a Buzz event.

Chuck Ridpath, a thin and wirey Edinburgh firefighter, crawled into a 16-inch drainpipe to rescue a 7-year-old girl who went into the pipe to explore, became cold and tired and refused to crawl her way back out.

Just days before spring, Old Man Winter got in one last wallop with a wind-packed snowstorm that caused heavy drifting on rural roads and forced the closing of one local school and all schools in Jennings County.
