PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Florida — Tyler Duncan fired a 2-under-par 70 Friday and is tied for 37th after the first round of The Players Championship.
Duncan, a 2008 Columbus North graduate, shot 2-under 34 on the front nine and even-par 36 on the back at TPC Sawgrass. He is one of 36 players tied at 2-under.
Hideka Matsuyama leads the tournament at 9-under 63. Harris English, Christin Bezudienhout and Si Woo Kim are tied for second at 7-under 65.
