Columbus

As a parent and committed community member, I believe we need to vote YES for the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. referendum.

This funding is crucial to retaining and attracting quality teachers. From 2003-2011 there was an average 17.5 teacher resignations per year in BCSC. From 2012-present the average resignations per year has jumped to 49.2, meaning over 600 teachers have been replaced since 2012.

Rewarding teacher experience and expertise directly impacts the quality of student learning and each student’s overall school experience. In turn, this benefits our community by ensuring that Columbus remains a competitive and attractive place for businesses and families.

The passing of this referendum would be a crucial investment in the lives of our students and in the vitality of our community.
