Two rescued from stalled vehicle in high water on Jonesville Road

Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies, with the help of the Columbus Fire Department, rescued two people from a vehicle that was stalled in high water in the 700 block of Jonesville Road at 3:52 a.m. Saturday.

Deputies said the vehicle was stalled in the high water and they advised the male and female to stay inside the vehicle as the Columbus Fire Department arrived to assist. Both were checked by Columbus Regional Hospital emergency medical services. The driver received a citation for not complying with road closing signs.

No one was injured.
