Orchids to …

• DeShawn and his co-workers at the west side grocery store for efficient, friendly and no-contact safe loading of our weekly groceries at pick up, from an at-risk senior.

• the Republic newspaper for free access to all information during this pandemic, it could be the difference between life and death through some of the information, besides definite food for thought.

• Parkside Elementary School teachers and staff for the car parade through Mead Village, it was fun to watch and put a smile on our faces.

• Doug Otto and his letter detailing the lies, omissions, and misdeeds of this president in his mishandling the COIVD-19 crisis.

Onions to …

• people with such intense hatred for the elected official that they believe the lies of old, demented, career politicians who care nothing for the American people.

• anyone who believes any elected official.

• the relative of the federal elected official boasting that our virus response is a great success story when our death rate is more than double that of the rest of the world.

• the elected federal official who thinks an order from him will get hundreds of sick workers back into the wretched conditions of Indiana packing plants.

• those wanting to make meat-packing plants into human sacrifice zones.

• to the professor whose title of the opinion piece is in poor taste.

• the administration for thinking that almost 60,000 American deaths due to COVID-19 is a great success, even as infections and deaths are increasing.

• the physician’s assistant who things everyone is going to be a drug addict when they need pain relief because their surgery was postponed.

• the federal elected official who will do anything to stay on the November party ticket including not wearing a mask.

• those who told me to be safe going to the store that I only needed to wear a mask and gloves but then I discovered every one there had clothes on.

• the local elected official for defending his racist comments as “it’s just a joke.”

• the administration and political party for continuing a lawsuit to eliminate the Affordable Care Act, when people losing health insurance through their lost jobs need it most.

• the gas/convenience store charging $6.99 for a single use mask — if that is not price gouging, I don’t what is.

• letter writers demanding accountability yet not holding U.S. manufacturers accountable for doing business in communist China.

• the letter writer begging for invoking the 25th Amendment and not remembering how that former governor made the HIV outbreak worse, and RFRA.

• the hospital system for having to lay off workers.

• the political party trying to pin this epidemic on the federal elected official while it is no more than a way to finance their horrible decisions.

• those who have nothing better to do but spend time continuously posting negative comments about our federal elected officials in onions instead of using that time to positively impact our local community during these trying times.

• not removing the person from his responsibilities working with the coronavirus crisis for not adhering to medical rules at a Mayo Clinic visit, which should have refused his admission.

• student debt which is still upwards of 8% while interest rates on savings is near 0% — why doesn’t the federal elected official do something about it.

• to the politician who shows his ignorance by not wearing a mask thinking that other people don’t mind breathing his germs.

• the political party to try to bring up sexual-harassment claims from 30 years ago while this federal elected official has had over 20 women claim sexual harassment.

• the city for allowing a festival that is based on, and celebrates, the sexual proclivity of a specific group of people.

• the relative of the elected leader who, with no health expertise, called 60,000 coronavirus deaths a great success.

• The federal elected official and head of the COVID-19 team, for not wearing a protective mask, when all those around him were, while touring the Mayo Clinic.
