Letters to the editor pertaining to the upcoming primary and the candidates for office should be sent to The Republic no later than May 27. This year’s primary is June 2.
The Republic is charging a $25 fee for paid political content in its letter section and payment must be received by May 27 in order for the letter to be eligible for publication.

Letters should be kept to a maximum of 500 words. They must include the writer’s name, address and daytime telephone number for verification to be considered for publication.
