INDIANAPOLIS — The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the East Fork White River in Columbus from Wednesday night to Thursday night. At 11 p.m. Monday, the river stage was 2.6 feet. Flood state is 9 feet.
Forecasters say the river will rise above flood stage by Wednesday night and continue to rise to near 9.1 feet that night, falling to below flood stage Thursday morning.
At these levels, there is usually minor flooding south of Tellman Road and Mill Race Park would be flooded. State Road 11 and County Road 550S have been impacted when the East Fork White River goes over flood stage.
