• Fairlawn Church, for the wonderful and uplifting auto parade through our neighborhood on Sunday afternoon, in a true spirit of giving and love.

• teachers, they’re worth every penny!
• the EMTs on the 911 call early Sunday morning and the hospital personnel, from the dehydrated lady.

Onions to …

• the letter writer who claims one candidate for judge has already been doing the job he seeks.
• those who don’t remember one federal elected official said “the buck stops here” and another has said “I don’t take responsibility at all.”
• people who think they can berate others into wearing a mask, it isn’t mandatory, you are not judge and jury, and some of us make our own choices.
• those who don’t realize while the federal elected official is not responsible for the coronavirus, he is responsible for failing to prepare our nation to respond to it.
• people who believe that putting a T-shirt over your face is going to save anyone’s life and for trying to shame the people who are smarter than that.
• those not wearing masks at grocery stores which makes it unsafe for seniors to shop for food.
• the cemetery that has become entirely too picky with rules and regulations.
• those who think we are hiding in closets from a deadly virus, finding it OK for us to be out spreading the virus and endangering older folks who actually fought in a world war.
• those who don’t remember they literally couldn’t write an onion — or an orchid — without teachers!
• the federal elected official now self-medicating with a drug which has no success in preventing infection from the virus.
• the lack of a national response to the virus and the official now blaming everyone and everything to deflect responsibility for his own inaction and incompetence.
• the germ-spreading official who refuses to wear a mask because rules don’t seem to apply to him.
• local nursing homes not testing employees who are exposing all residents to COVID-19.
• people who don’t wear a mask in the big retail stores.
• people who don’t realize that long ago, the television network became a 24/7 opinion talk show, not a news source.
• the stores who don’t make people coming in wear masks and gloves.
• the person who was highly insensitive to other family members during our time of tragedy.
• the federal elected official who is at war with the VA and FDA.
• the commencement address that was actually a political speech.
• the federal elected official for firing the inspector general and not letting the American people know the truth about the sales of weapons to Saudi Arabi behind Congress’ back.
• the individual who would not reveal the number of COVID-19 cases or deaths in the local nursing homes.
