COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Columbus Police Department is seeking information about a shooting that injured a woman on Thursday night.
At approximately 11:45 p.m., CPD officers responded to the 2200 block of Union Street in regards to the shooting, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
The officers arrived a short time later and provided care to the victim, an adult female, who was in the street and had gunshot wounds to her lower body, Harris said.
She was transported by paramedics to Columbus Regional Hospital for treatment.
Detectives advised that witnesses reported seeing a silver colored sport utility vehicle leaving the area of the shooting, Harris said.
