Students at Parkside Elementary School, ranging in age from 5 to 12, collected 2,325 toiletry items to distribute to troops through the Atterbury USO.

1995

Preserve to Enjoy donated $5,000 to the Save the Crump campaign and a Kids Karnival at The Commons Mall raised $1,200 to save the historic downtown theater.

1970

William R. Laws, pastor at First United Presbyterian Church, was elected moderator of the Presbyterian Church USA.
