The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department announced the jail will be launching a new inmate video visitation program starting Monday.

HomeWAV can be used for voice calls, video calls and video messaging through homewav.com, the Home WAV mobile app or by calling HomeWAV Visitor Support at 1-844-394-6639.

Users can sign up at homewav.com to select a facility and inmate. After adding funds, visitors wait for inmates to call.

Visitors can make telephone calls (20 cents per minute), remote offsite video visits (30 cents per minute) or do video messaging (up to 500 characters, 50-cents per minute).

By using the Bartholomew County Jail video visitation equipment, users are subject to recording and monitoring.

All visitors must dress appropriately and no obscene behavior will be tolerated. Any visitor found to be in the violation will be blocked from all future visits.

“The new HomeWAV system is easy, accessible and affordable and will allow family members and friends to schedule and conduct video visits with jail inmates,” Sheriff Matt Myers said.

On-site visitation at the jail remains unavailable until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
