The Columbus City Utilities could save money by not purchasing fluoride, a byproduct of phosphate fertilizer to dose its citizens with. There has been a trend in the U.S. for many years now to stop adding it to the water supply of public utilities as the FDA continues to lower recommended limits.
Fluoride dosage cannot be measured through public drinking water as people’s intake varies. Europeans have rejected the use of Fluoride in their countries in all but a few cases and suffer no more dental issues than Americans. Even the countries that do use fluoride such as the U.K. Use it at a rate much lower than the U.S. 11% compared to 70% respectively.
For more information on the bad science and consequences of using fluoride in their public water supply I encourage everyone to visit www.FluorideAlert.org
