Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies arrested a local woman on drug-related charges after she was accused of driving a truck into a house in the area of County Road 505N and County Road 850E.

Deputies were sent to the area at 12:45 p.m. Sunday where Sgt. Brent Worman saw a truck had gone into the east side of a home, which received significant damage.

The driver, identified as Esther M. Waltz, 41, of 15741 E. County Road 265N, was taken into custody on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia, deputies said.

The house was damaged to the point it is uninhabitable at this time, deputies said.

Waltz was released from the Bartholomew County Jail on the arrest proxy that allows certain defendants to be released without posting bond, jail officials said. Bond in her case was set at $60,000, according to jail records.
