Taylorsville Elementary School was selected by the Indiana Department of Education as a model site for other schools from around the state to visit to learn about the instructional model of teaching and reinforcing desired behaviors rather than disciplining for incorrect actions.

Construction began on 43 homes in the first phase of the 224-lot McCullough’s Run Subdivision at the southeast corner of State Road 46 and Talley Road.

Columbus Fire Department hosted firefighters and other personnel from 25 Indiana towns and cities at a training school demonstrating home safety, various types of firefighting methods and techniques, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and photography in fire service.
