Dave and Sheila Shaffer of Columbus are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a family celebration held at a later date.
Mr. Shaffer and the former Sheila Gressel were married June 27, 1970, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Columbus by the Pastor Eldon L. Brandt.
Mr. Shaffer retired from Cummins Inc. after 43 years.
Mrs. Shaffer retired from St. Peter’s Lutheran School after 23 years.
The couple have two children, Michael (Christine) Shaffer of Georgetown, Kentucky and Bryan (Candace) Shaffer of Battle Ground, Indiana; and four grandsons.
