INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) said 734 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. That brings to 57,916 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus.
A total of 2,652 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 20 over the previous day. Another 194 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH and occurred over multiple days.
To date, 644,805 tests have been reported to ISDH, up from 635,660 on Monday.
Bartholomew County is reporting 641 positive cases (up three) with 45 deaths (no change).
Surrounding counties reported:
Decatur County: 266 positive cases with 32 deaths (no change).
Jackson County: 508 positive cases (up two) with three deaths (no change).
Jennings County: 188 positive cases (up one) with 12 deaths (no change)
Shelby County: 476 positive cases (up one) with 25 deaths (no change).
Johnson County: 1,464 positive cases (up 20) with 118 deaths (no change).
Brown County: 55 positive cases (up one) with one death (no change).
ISDH is hosting free testing clinics in the following counties this week: Elkhart, Henry, Starke, Tippecanoe, Kosciusko, Marshall, Ohio, Brown, Gibson, Wells, Perry, Warrick and Lake.
As of Tuesday, nearly 37 percent of ICU beds and nearly 83 percent of ventilators were available statewide.

Anyone with concerns about COVID-19 is urged to call the health system’s Triage Resource Call Center, a phone resource line launched by CRH to handle calls from residents with questions and concerns about exposure or symptoms associated with COVID-19. The phone line is open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is staffed by registered nurses who will offer screening questions and potentially recommend a course of action for patients.
