Boil water advisory issued for customers in area of Eighth and Chestnut streets

Columbus City Utilities has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for customers in the area of Eighth and Chestnut streets.

This precautionary measure is necessary due to a shutdown associated with emergency pipe repairs.

Customers are asked to boil cooking and drinking water for 5 minutes until notified that the water has passed laboratory testing.

The boil water advisory will be in effect starting at 1:30 p.m. today and customers will be notified when it will be lifted.
Customers who have provided phone numbers to the utility will receive robocalls.

All customers affected will receive a door hanger notice prior to, and upon completion of the testing.
