Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies arrested a Hope man on multiple outstanding arrest warrants.
Deputies were looking for Jason Morgan, 42, of 166 Schaefer Drive, Hope, when he was located at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday riding his bicycle near the intersection of U..S 31 and State Road 7.
When deputies made contact, Morgan falsely identified himself and ran into a cornfield, investigators said.
After a CPD K9 and Columbus Fire Department drone arrived on scene, Morgan was taken into custody without further incident.
Identification was confirmed and Morgan was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of criminal mischief, resisting law enforcement and five arrest warrants, deputies said.
Morgan is being held without bond in the the jail, jail officials said.
