Bull Dogs blank Twisters
No. 12 Columbus North won four matches in straight sets Thursday in rolling to a 5-0 win against Oldenburg Academy.
Nathan Lin beat Michael Wanstrath 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, Matthew Liu downed Riley Schebler 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles and Joseph Kloepfer topped Jon Grieshop 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles for the Bull Dogs (5-0).
North’s Amrit Kar and Anvay Atrim beat Patrick Thompson and Ethan Back 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles. Eric Stavnheim and Jacob Shinkle topped Colton Schuckman and Jacob Sheets 4-6, 6-2, (11-9) at No. 2 doubles.
East edges Jennings
Jennings County won the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles matches, but Columbus East took the other three to claim a 3-2 victory.
Daniel Murphy beat Jansen McDonald 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles, and Emmit Romine downed Connor Euler 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles for the Olympians (4-3). East’s Carlos Fernandez and Eric Takahaski topped Greyson Jackson and Alex Leach 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
For the Panthers (3-6), Owen Law beat Pranav Kumar 4-6, 6-3, (10-6) at No. 1 singles, and Justin Ramey and Jacob Vogel defeated Derek Heideman and Matthew Degner 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles.
Lancers stop Spartans
EDINBURGH — Edinburgh swept the singles matches in a 3-2 win against Southwestern (Shelby).
Max Blandford blanked Tristan Pappano (SW) 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, Travis Jones beat Caleb Pappano 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2 singles and Chase Littlejohn topped Justin Swift 7-6 (5), 6-1 at No. 3 singles for the Lancers (3-2).
Edinburgh’s Cash Cunningham and Trevor Moon fell to Grant Emerick and Matthew Clements 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles. Ian Buchanan and Braedyn Johnson lost to Zack Yeend and Carter Snepp 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.

North downs Southport
INDIANAPOLIS — Nathaly Munnicha and Yestika Nischol each shot 36 to lead No. 7 Columbus North to a 153-165 win against Southport at Southern Dunes.
Gwen Anderson carded a 40 for the Bull Dogs. Ella Wilks added a 41, Macy Euler shot 43 and Ritisha Rashmil had a 47.
East edges Shelbyville
SHELBYVILLE — Columbus East slipped past Shelbyville 186-188 at River’s Edge.
Peyton Meier and Katie Hong each shot 45 to lead the Olympians. Carter Gant carded a 46, Cristen Martinez added a 50. Harley Gant shot 51 and Lilly Steinwedel had a 59.
Lancers take second
INDIANAPOLIS — Edinburgh finished second in a tri match at Smock. Monrovia won with a 208 to 211 for the Lancers and 222 for Greenwood Christian Academy.
Morgan Calhoun led Edinburgh with a 48. Annelise Lollar carded a 52, Izzy Richardson added a 54, Jillian Turner shot 57 and Serenity Smith had a 65.

Bull Dogs fall in 4
Columbus North and Martinsville split the first two sets, but the Artesians took the final two to post a 25-18, 15-25, 25-21, 25-15 victory on the Bull Dogs’ senior night.
Madison White led the Bull Dogs (2-6) with 11 kills and one block. Reagan Kane recorded 30 assists, and Grace Chapman served four aces.
Also for North, Madi Roop pounded eight kills, and Sarah Bennett added seven kills. Kane notched two aces.
Eagles top Cougars
NASHVILLE — Brown County and South Decatur split the first two sets before the Eagles won the final two to claim a 25-19, 22-25, 25-22, 25-18 victory.
Abigail Bowman recorded 32 assists and five aces to lead Brown County (5-3). She served 13 consecutive points in the fourth set to rally the Eagles from a 13-7 deficit to a 20-13 lead.
Also for Brown County, Lauren Akles pounded 12 kills, and Milly Patrick notched 24 digs. Emma Lucas tallied six kills over the final two sets, and Abigail Watson added five kills. Londyn Koester contributed 17 digs.
The Cougars fell to 5-6.
Panthers fall in 4
NORTH VERNON — Jennings County took the third set, but Seymour recovered to finish off a 25-12, 25-21, 23-25, 25-22 Hoosier Hills Conference victory.
Megan Vogel led the Panthers (3-8, 0-5) with 27 assists and five aces. Ailvia Elmore pounded nine kills, Charlee Barlow had 10 blocks and Stella Millspaugh notched 17 digs.
Also for Jennings, Juliann Woodard talied seven kills, and Barlow added six kills. Taylor Mowery contributed 12 digs.
Trinity sweeps CAI
NEW ALBANY — Class A No. 1 Trinity Lutheran cruised to a 25-12, 25-9, 25-8 victory at Christian Academy of Indiana.
Sydney Jaynes led the Cougars (7-2) with 13 kills and four blocks. Bailey Reynolds recorded 20 assists, Kamzi Gross notched eight digs and Stella Kelffman and Elly Carter each served three aces.
Also for Trinity, Kennedy Hoffman pounded 11 kills, and Ruthie Bingham added four kills and five digs. Carter also tallied five digs.

Hauser tops Trinity
HOPE — Hauser picked up its first win of the season, a 2-1 decision against Trinity Lutheran.
Zach Weichman and Cameron Scott scored goals for the Jets (1-3-2). Carter Scott recorded nine saves.
Zephyr Wilson scored the goal for the Cougars (1-3) off a corner kick from Andrew Liming. Peyton Pollert posted 20 saves.

Cougars drop opener
SEYMOUR — Trinity Lutheran opened its season with a 2-1 loss to Southport.
Flossie Cooper scored the goal for the Cougars. Genesis Munoz recorded 16 saves.
