
INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health today announced that 1,044 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at the state laboratory, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. That brings to 97,884 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
A total of 3,127 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 17 from the previous day. Another 223 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.
To date, 1,117,427 tests for unique individuals have been reported to the state, up from 1,103,038 on Thursday.
An additional testing facility has been newly onboarded into the electronic reporting system. This onboarding resulted in the addition of 1,175 historical tested individuals and 1,751 historical tests administered to today’s statewide counts.
Bartholomew County reported 1,080 positive tests (up three) with 54 deaths (no change) on Friday.
The Bartholomew County Health Department is reporting 15,457 tests have been administered in the county with 168 currently pending.
The number of positives of Bartholomew County residents may include testing that was conducted out-of-county. Conversely, the number of total tests may also include submissions for non-Bartholomew County residents.

- Jackson County: 713 positive cases (up two) with nine deaths (no change).
- Jennings County: 281 positive cases (up one) with 12 deaths (no change).
- Decatur County: 421 positive cases (up four) with 35 deaths (no change).
- Shelby County: 630 positive cases (up one) with 28 deaths (no change).
- Johnson County: 2,065 positive cases (up eight) with 122 deaths (up one).
- Brown County: 91 positive cases (up one) with two deaths (no change).
