Dry and windy conditions created a need for a ban on all open burning in Bartholomew County, including brush fires, trash fires, outdoor fire pits and bonfires, until further notice.

John McCormick purchased Kenny Glass Inc., a 50-year-old Columbus business, from retiring owners, Tom and Georgia Webb, who had owned the business since 1973.
