More than 30 teams representing area businesses, schools and organizations participated in the second annual Bartholomew County Literacy Task Force Spelling Bee, raising money for the Tots Reading Lots program.

A standing room only crowd of about 100 residents of the Sandy Hook, Edgewood and Hiker Trace area told city officials about speeding and cut-through traffic problems plaguing their neighborhood, making walks and bike rides near the homes unsafe.
