In his six years of working in the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp., Columbus Educators Association secretary and teacher Dakota Hudelson has seen two school board elections come and go.
But he’s never seen candidates answer teachers’ questions in a public, community setting.
This year, Hudelson and the CEA aim to change that by hosting a virtual public forum where BCSC board candidates will answer questions submitted by teachers. The event will be held Monday at 7 p.m. over Zoom with logistical support from the Indiana State Teachers Association’s staff.
Registration to watch the forum live is limited to the first 1,000 people who sign up at bit.ly/bcsc-forum. A recording of the event will later be uploaded to YouTube and shared on the CEA’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
According to a CEA press release, all of the school board candidates and running incumbents have agreed to participate.
