INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health said 1,499 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at the state laboratory, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. That brings to 109,638 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
A total of 3,270 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 17 from the previous day. Another 225 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.
To date, 1,281,438 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 1,269,650on Thursday. A total of 1,813,640 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26.
ISDH said a laboratory reporting error was corrected in Friday’s numbers, leading in the addition of 462 positive cases, 1,628 tested individuals, and 2,067 tests administered.
Bartholomew County reported 1,142 positive tests (up 10) with 57 deaths (no change) on Friday.

Jackson County: 727 positive cases (two new) with nine deaths (no change).
Jennings County: 307 positive cases (up two) with 12 deaths (no change).
Decatur County: 450 positive cases (up one) with 39 deaths (no change).
Shelby County: 661 positive cases (up seven) with 29 deaths (no change).
Johnson County: 2,236 positive cases (up 39) with 122 deaths (no change).
Brown County: 99 positive cases (up six) with three deaths (no change).
