As Donald Trump campaigns for his second term I feel compelled to point out the fact that he continues to lie to the people and spread falsehoods and mistruths daily.
I cannot believe he is expecting his supporters to blindly accept all that he is saying as "gospel."
In a recently published book, he admitted that he lied to the public about the seriousness of COVID-19. He even stated that the virus was a hoax and false news (how many times have we heard that?). That, in itself, should be a reason to not re-elect him. If he had told the truth, how many more lives would have been saved?
He has accused the Democrats for the violent protests. This is false. Almost all BLM protests were peaceful until Trump sent in military force. Primarily, it was in front of the White House when he sent force to tear gas peaceful protestors. Then he had the audacity to go across the street, in front of a church that he has never attended, and make a campaign speech while holding the Bible upside down.
The violence we are now seeing is not because of the Democrats. Democrats are not in office. Trump is in office. It is because he insists on sending in federal troops to try to stop this to try to show his power, but it is stirring up anger and more violent protests.
The military forces he has sent to combat the violence are the same military forces that he has referred to as "losers and suckers," yet he ordered them out as a show of support at his holiday campaign speeches on the Fourth of July.
He states that, if elected, Democrats would free "thousands" of prisoners from jail. This is false.
He, himself, that ran on "cleaning up the swamp," has had a number of cronies convicted of fraud and felonies. He has personally pardoned most of them.
And this is the most ridiculous thing he has said: If the Democrats win the election, the U.S. will soon become a Communist country.
First, the people of the United States would never accept this. Second, it is Trump himself that is cozying up to the Russians and North Koreans. In fact, Trump said the leader of North Korea is a "good guy," and meeting him was like seeing "a beautiful women and knowing in a second if ‘it’ would happen." Now what do you think that was a reference to?
We used to be the envy of all the world. Now we have lost a lot of our allies and have started to be a laughing stock.
Trump has pulled us out of support for climate control while Greenland and Antarctica are melting away, our oceans are rising, and forest fires are burning out of hand.
And as to his tariffs? Ask any farmer how they feel about the fact that their exports have put many of them out of business or close to it.
