Bull Dogs blank Tigers
Class 3A No. 8 Columbus North closed its regular season Thursday night with a 2-0 win against 2A No. 15 Lawrenceburg.
Jenna Lang and Lauryn Whitley scored the goals for the Bull Dogs (14-1-1). Lang had an assist.
North outshot the Tigers 10-2. Mallory Gilley recorded two saves.
Owls edge Olympians
SEYMOUR — Seymour scored in the 64th minute to pull out a 1-0 win against Columbus East in a battle for the Hoosier Hills Conference title.
The Owls outshot the Olympians (10-6, 6-1) 7-6. Anna Liimatta posted five saves.
Pacers slip past Cougars
VEVAY — Switzerland County jumped out to a 2-0 lead and went on to hand Trinity Lutheran a 3-1 defeat.
Kailene Cockerham scored the goal for the Cougars (5-6), who were outshot 14-4. Genesis Munoz recorded 10 saves.

Jets rout Raiders
VERSAILLES — Hauser had little trouble in rolling to a 25-16, 25-11, 25-10 win at South Ripley.
Hannah Johnson led the Jets (17-9) with 12 kills and one block. Aunaka Wasil recorded 34 assists, Kenze Bostic had one block, Andie Clark notched 16 digs and Adriana Musillami served five aces.
Also for Hauser, Marnie Schwartzkopf pounded nine kills, and Charlie Clark added five kills and six digs. Kyra Meister tallied 10 digs, and Johnson and Wasil each served three aces.
Spartans sweep Eagles
SHELBYVILLE — Brown County came close in the first set but fell 25-23, 25-14, 25-16 at Southwestern (Shelby).
The Eagles fell to 9-10.
Panthers fall in 4
NORTH VERNON — Jennings County won the first set, but Scottsburg rallied for a 22-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-15 victory
Megan Vogel led the Panthers (3-10) with 31 assists and three aces. Juliann Woodard pounded 14 kills, Charlee Barlow had 12 blocks and Alaina Young notched eight digs.

Crusaders move on
INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus Christian advanced to the semifinals of the ICSAA Regional with a 3-1 win at Horizon Christian.
Ethan Nickerson scored two goals, and Nathan DeFriece added one for the Crusaders, who outshot Horzion 9-1.
Columbus Christian (3-6-1) will play Evansville Christian at 5:30 p.m. today at Indiana Christian Academy. The regional final is at noon Saturday, also at ICA.
Warriors top Panthers
NORTH VERNON — Jennings County closed the regular season with a 3-1 loss to Scottsburg.
Ethan Brown scored off an assist from Layne Suhre for the Panthers (4-9-2).
Lions blank Cougars
SEYMOUR — Trinity Lutheran fell to Bloomington Lighthouse 4-0 in its regular-season finale.
The Lions outshot the Cougars (1-10) 22-10. Peyton Pollert posted 18 saves.
CROSS-COUNTRY
Jets, Cougars compete
GREENSBURG — South Decatur’s girls finished fourth, and Hauser’s boys and girls both took seventh in the Greensburg Invitational. Batesville swept the team titles.
Kate Hamilton led the Cougar girls with a 23rd-place finish in 23 minutes, 20.10 seconds for 5,000 meters (3.1 miles). Bridget Nobbe took 25th in 23:40.66, while Emma Gatewood was 26th (23:41.18), Brayley Sundal 38th (24:52.95) and Elizabeth Flessner 43rd (25:44.39).
Amanda Steward finished 34th in 24:33.07 to lead the Jets. Addison Jones and Reiss Kistler took 52nd and 53rd in 26:56.43 and 27:04.14, while Tammy Essex was 58th (28:38.53) and Kaitlyn Everroad 61st (31:52.38).
In the boys race, Hauser’s Ryan Ault finished fourth in 17:48.04. Alex Bower took 30th in 19:07.84, while Tanner Ault was 38th (20:00.59), Colin Kistler 39th (20:12.12) and Aiden Cheshire 76th (24:40.54).
South Decatur’s boys finished eighth, led by a 21st-place finish from Trevor Newby in 18:38.42. Tyler Hibberd took 47th in 20:32.13, while Jack Hamilton was 50th (20:39.52), Chase Kalli 53rd (21:05.66) and Bradley Walling 56th (21:09.19).
