Letter: The president is not a true Republican

Man hands writing in the diary, coffee mug and laptop on wooden table

I’ve known many Republicans over the years.

None of them were pathological liars, and they didn’t cheat on the wives. They haven’t been “under audit” for years, and they’ve paid more than $750 dollars in taxes. They didn’t cheat their relatives out of millions in inheritance money, and they didn’t have a fake university or a fake charity — or file numerous bankruptcies — hurting untold workers and businesses.

I can only conclude the president is not a Republican.

Donald Trump has little chance of being a Nobel Peace Prize winner no matter how many times he nominates himself. His incurable narcissistic tendencies will never change because he can’t change.

Our president has given the white supremacists a new motto to go by: “Stand back and stand by."

He has also appointed a crooked postmaster general, but hopefully it won’t prevent the American people from deciding the election.

Trump may go down as the most corrupt and incompetent president in American history!

I don’t expect an 84-year-old country boy with a high school education to change many minds, but you might consider asking some of our top generals, or war heroes, or many former diplomats from both parties who can remember when we had a Justice Department what they think.
