North moves into final

BLOOMINGTON — No. 13 Columbus North dispatched of Greensburg quickly Tuesday, dropping only 12 games in a 5-0 victory in the Bloomington North Regional semifinals.

Luke Enneking and Eric Stavnheim were first off the court with their 6-0, 6-3 win against Bryce Stringer and Drew Messer at No. 2 doubles. Matthew Liu was next with a 6-2, 6-0 triumph against Isaac Tebbe at No. 2 singles, and Nathan Lin gave the Bull Dogs (13-1) the clinching point with a 6-2, 6-0 victory against Brett Stringer at No. 1 singles.

North’s Amrit Kar and Anvay Atrim beat Sam Bower and Abe Tebbe 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles. Joseph Kloepfer downed Karson Schneider 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.

The Bull Dogs will play No. 28 Bloomington South in the regional final at 5:30 p.m. today.

East perfect in HHC

MADISON — Columbus East wrapped up a perfect Hoosier Hills Conference season Tuesday with a 25-10, 25-14, 25-16 win at Madison.

Libby Dippold led the Olympians (13-4, 7-0) with six kills and one solo and three assist blocks. Reece Whitehead pounded six kills, Katy Jordan recorded 31 assists, Cadence Gilley notched 13 digs and Kenzie Foster and Lexia Capes each served two aces.

Also for East, Capes pounded four kills, Saige Stahl tallied nine digs and Reece Whitehead added seven digs. Jordan posted four assist blocks, Gabby Dean had two assist blocks and Regann Jessee added one assist block.

Jets finish unbeaten in MHC

EDINBURGH — Hauser finished off a perfect Mid-Hoosier Conference season and the outright title with a 25-5, 25-7, 25-18 win at Edinburgh.

Hannah Johnson led the Jets (18-10, 6-0) with 11 kills and four aces. Aunaka Wasil recorded 26 assists, Kenze Bostic had four blocks and Andie Clark notched 21 digs.

Also for Hauser, Charlie Clark tallied six kills, one assist and 12 digs, Bostic pounded six kills and Sophia Musillami added three kills and one ace. Adriana Musillami contributed four assists and one ace, Marnie Schwartzkopf had two two blocks and three aces, Johnson posted two blocks and Stephanie Meek added one block. Kyra Meister notched eight digs, Addy Barriger had three digs and Gracie Blair added two digs.

The Lancers fell to 5-21 overall and 1-5 in the MHC.

North falls to Panthers

BLOOMINGTON — Class 4A No. 10 Bloomington South clinched its fourth consecutive Conference Indiana title with a 25-17, 25-14, 25-19 win against Columbus North.

Reagan Kane led the Bull Dogs (7-19, 1-2) with 24 assists and three aces. Sarah Bennett pounded 10 kills, Madison White had two blocks and Ava McKinney notched 13 digs.

Also for North, Madi Roop recorded eight kills and nine digs, and White and Emma Derringer each added five kills. Kane also tallied nine digs.

Trinity tops Rock Creek

SELLERSBURG — Class A No. 1 Trinity Lutheran bounced back from a five-set loss to 4A Floyd Central a night earlier with a 25-19, 25-16, 25-19 win at Rock Creek Academy.

Kennedy Hoffman, Bailey Tabeling and Ruthie Bingham all pounded seven kills; Bailey Reynolds recorded 25 assists; Kamzi Gross notched 15 digs and Elly Carter served four aces to lead the Cougars (24-5).

Also for Trinity, Sydney Jaynes and Stella Kleffman each notched five kills, Kleffman and Carter each had eight digs and Reynolds and Hoffman each added three aces.

Brown County advances

MONROVIA — Brown County rallied from a 1-0 deficit to claim a 2-1 victory against Owen Valley in the first round of the Monrovia Sectional.

Zach Spires and Ethan Scott scored the goals, and Ricky Stanley had an assist for the Eagles (5-7), who outshot the Patriots 19-7. Wyatt Fox recorded six saves.

Brown County will play Monrovia in the semifinals at 7 p.m. today.

Trinity wins on PKs

SEYMOUR — After a scorless 80 minutes of regulation and 14 minutes of overtime, Trinity Lutheran edged Austin 3-2 on penalty kicks in the opening round of the Trinity Sectional.

Zander Rogrow, Levi Pottschmidt and Jacob Sabotin connected on the PKs in the shootout for the Cougars (2-10). Peyton Pollert posted 15 saves, including three PKs in the shootout.

Trinity will play Providence in the semifinals at 7 p.m. today.

Mustangs oust Eagles

ELLETTSVILLE — Brown County saw its season come to an end with a 5-0 loss to Edgewood in the first round of the Edgewood Sectional.

The Mustangs outshot the Eagles (0-13) 25-2. Sarah Callahan recorded 20 saves.
