A proposal to redistrict about 135 students from Southside Elementary, which was at capacity, to Mount Health Elementary, where there were empty classrooms, drew a fiery crowd of parents to an informational school board meeting.

Hope Plan Commission unanimously approved the rezoning of eight acres to allow the construction of a True Value Hardware Store on State Road 9 despite a petition signed by families who opposed it.
