Hauser reports two new COVID-19 cases

HOPE — Flat Rock-Hawcreek School Corp. is reporting two new cases of COVID-19 from Hauser Jr./Sr. High School.

The school corporation’s website provides weekly updates on the number of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases and student referrals related to masks and social distancing.

This week, there were two new cases of COVID-19. There were also two student referrals at Hauser for “failure to properly wear a mask.”

Each weekly report contains only the numbers for the past week; the site does not show a running total. For the week ending Aug. 28, there was one case reported from Hauser. The week ending Sept. 4, there were two cases reported from Hauser. The week ending Oct. 16, there was one case reported from Hope Elementary. The overall total cases reported by the school corporation is six.

Superintendent Shawn Price has said in the past that the school corporation is not including remote learning students in its weekly posts regarding case counts.
