COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies arrested a local man on multiple drug-related charges after a traffic stop Sunday.
Deputy Dylan Prather was traveling on Jonathan Moore Pike, near Carr Hill Road, when he initiated a traffic stop, deputies said. The driver, identified as Jon Eric Gressel, 59, Columbus, was found to have multiple outstanding warrants, deputies said.
During the investigation, drugs and drug-related items were found on Gressel’s person, deputies said.
Gressel was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of felony dealing in methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and warrants from Bartholomew County, Jackson County and Marion County. He is being held in jail with no bond, jail officials said.
