COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Bartholomew County Prosecutor’s office, located in the basement of the county courthouse, has closed due to COVID-19 quarantine until Nov. 30
Bartholomew County Prosecutor Bill Nash said several employees have had positive tests and others are awaiting test results. This includes a group of deputy prosecutors and staff members.
Although the office will be closed, telephone calls to the prosecutor’s office will be forwarded to office personnel working from home and some staff members may return to the office as needed to handle work that cannot be completed any other way, Nash said.
Courthouse offices have been working on an “appointment only” basis since early in the pandemic so the public has not had free access to the offices for some time.
