Crusaders roll to win

MARTINSVILLE — Columbus Christian jumped out to a 29-7 halftime lead Tuesday night and cruised to a 58-17 at Martinsville Tabernacle Christian.

Gabe Ridder led the Crusaders (3-1) with 14 points. Isaac Carlson and Jacob Conrad each added eight.

Bulldogs top Jets

BATESVILLE — Hauser fell behind Batesville 33-19 at halftime and couldn’t catch up in a 48-41 defeat.

Kyliegh Parrott and Hannah Johnson each scored 10 points to lead the Jets (2-4). Aunaka Wasil added seven.

Columbus Christian falls

MARTINSVILLE — Madison Tabernacle handed Columbus Christian its first loss of the season, a 63-51 setback.

Kayla Jones led the Crusaders (1-1) with 22 points, eight rebounds and seven steals. Madi Blair had 12 points and six rebounds, and Sarah Lorimor added eight points and five rebounds.

Panthers down Owls

SEYMOUR — Jennings County jumped out to a 26-16 halftime lead and went on to post a 57-39 Hoosier Hills Conference win at Seymour.

Juliann Woodard scored 22 points, and Addyson Kent added 20 points and eight rebounds to lead the Panthers (4-2, 0-1).

Eagles get first win

NASHVILLE — Brown County picked up its first win of the season, a 72-57 victory against Eastern Greene.

Abby Fleetwood led the Eagles (1-1) with 26 points. Anna Fleetwood scored 18, and Katie Tipton added 11.

Trinity routs Raiders

SEYMOUR — Class A No. 4 Trinity Lutheran picked up a 55-34 victory at South Ripley.

Sydney Jaynes led the Cougars (7-1) with 28 points. Bailey Tabeling added 20.

Flashes stop Bull Dogs

INDIANAPOLIS — Franklin Central won 11 of the 14 matches in handing Columbus North a 57-9 loss.

James Thompson (132 pounds), Liam Phillips (145) and Hector De Dios (182) all won by decision for the Bull Dogs.

Eagles drop opener

TRAFALGAR — Brown County opened its season with a 57-24 loss at Indian Creek.

Jesse Fouts (145), Hunter Funkhouser (195) and Reid Davis (220) won by pin for the Eagles. Lane Mullins (285) won by forfeit.
