Kelsey Levi Herbert, 40, of Westport, passed away at 6:16 a.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at I.U. University Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on October 13, 1980, in Greensburg, the son of Joseph W. Herbert and Nancy K. (Johnston) Oleksy. He graduated from South Decatur High School in 2001. He was a night manager at Holiday Inn in Columbus. Kelsey enjoyed cars, music and decorating. He is survived by his mother, Nancy K. Oleksy of Conway, South Carolina; his stepfather, Kevin Oleksy of Surfside Beach, South Carolina; his grandmother, Janice K. Johnston of Greensburg; his sister Kelli (Aaron) Oleksy-Kiser of Conway, South Carolina; his brother, Korey Oleksy of Columbus; his aunt, Sandy (Gary) Profitt of Greensburg and his uncle, Allen (Laura) Johnston of Oro Valley, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his father and his grandfather, David Johnston. A private service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Entombment at Union Presbyterian Cemetery will be at a later date.
