SHELBY COUNTY — The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting that left one man dead and another injured on Sunday.
At 9:40 p.m., deputies responded to a shooting at a residence in the 11000 block of N. State Road 9, said Maj. Chris Holder in a release Tuesday.
Upon arrival, deputies found a 39-year-old male deceased from a gunshot wound and a 67-year-old man who was suffering from injuries, Holder said.
Holder said the older man was transported to MHP Major Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and that deputies are not currently looking for anyone else that was involved in the incident.
Deputies said the investigation is ongoing.
