COLUMBUS
Wayne R. Modeste, 51, of Columbus, passed from this life at 11:59 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at the Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mr. Modeste was born January 19, 1970, in Trinidad & Tobago, the son of Jerimiah Modeste and Iva Paul Gordon.
He was employed at Toyota in Columbus, was a member of the Columbus International Soccer Association and participated in the Ethnic Expo.
Survivors include his wife, Wendy E. Tenia; children, Tinika T. Modeste and Timothy T. Modeste all of Columbus; mother, Iva Gordon of Trinidad; siblings, Earl, Jerry, Kelly Ann, Juliet, Afeisha, Stacey, Inky, Kendall, Keisha, Murlin, Michael, Melissa and Pinky.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.
A private funeral service will follow with Bishop Charles A. Sims officiating.
Due to pandemic restrictions, we are limited to 50 people in the funeral home.
We do ask that visitors follow the social distancing guidelines once inside the funeral home and masks are required.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
