SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Tyler Duncan carded an opening-round 3-over-par 74 Thursday and is tied for 115th place in the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
Starting on the back nine, Duncan a 2008 Columbus North graduate, was even-par through six holes, but played the final three holes on the back nine in 4-over for a 40. He then shot 1-under 34 on the front nine at TPC Scottscale.
Matthew NeSmith and Mark Hubbard are tied for the lead at 8-under 63. Nate Lashley and Sam Burns are one shot back at 7-under 64.
