
ELIZABETHTOWN, INDIANA
Don Ingram, 78, of Elizabethtown, passed away Thursday February 11, 2021.
Don was born June 26, 1942, the son of Rev. Gilbert Robert and Veda Velee Owens Ingram. On January 17, 1964, Don married his high school sweetheart, Eula VanSant. He retired from NCR, Keil Bros. Oil Co., and The Kroot Corporation.
Don was devoted to the family he created with the love of his life, Eula. He led by example with a quiet strength. Don will be fondly remembered as the “on call repairman” for family and friends.
The funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at the Columbus Free Methodist Church with Rev. Luke Maggard officiating. If you are unable to attend the service, you are invited to view the livestream of the service at www.jewellrittman.com. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
The education of his family was a priority to Don. Therefore, memorials may be made in memory of Don to the Memorial Scholarship Fund through the Heritage Fund Community Foundation.
Don is survived by his children Missy McFall of Elizabethtown, Kim (Eric) Hutton of Reddick, Florida, and Rob (Robyn) Ingram of Columbus; grandchildren Ashley Hutton, Derek Hutton, Alli Summerfield, Kaylee McFall, Tanner McFall, Payton Ingram, Taylor Ingram, and Sydney Ingram; great-grandchildren Augest, Sarabelle, and Jesse Jeffery, Marlow Summerfield, as well as the expected arrival of Maya Summerfield; his step-mother Judy Ingram of Delphi, Indiana; brothers Joe (Jean) Ingram of Tarpon Springs, Florida, Mick (Linda) Ingram of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sisters Jean (Ron) Nearon of Monticello, Indiana, as well as Patti (Laren) Oldsmar, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his loving wife Eula on March 10, 2011.
