Two Hope residents arrested after domestic battery incident

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Two Hope residents have been arrested on battery charges after an investigation into a domestic violence incident in Taylorsville on Feb. 5

Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies were sent to the 1200 block of Mulbery Street in Taylorsville about the disturbance.

Deputies said Autumn Purtlebaugh, 19, Hope, and Ean Purtlebaugh, 18, Hope, arrived uninvited to the residence on Mulberry Street and a physical confrontation ensued.

Ean Purtlebaugh allegedly battered and strangled a male resident and Autumn Purtlebaugh
allegedly spat on and battered a pregnant female injuring her during the confrontation, deputies said.

Autumn Purtlebaugh was arrested and taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary
charges of burglary, battery on a pregnant female resulting in injury, battery in the presence of a minor, and battery by bodily waste.

She remains in BCJ in lieu of $650,000 bond.

Ean Purtlebaugh was arrested on preliminary charges of strangulation and domestic battery, deputies said. He has since been released from jail.
