Republican Greg Pence of Columbus, Indiana won a landslide victory last year in his bid for state representative in a district that has long been a Republican stronghold.

Mr. Pence went to Washington and voted multiple times against a military spending bill that would’ve benefited Camp Atterbury, located in neighboring Johnson County, and the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center in neighboring Jennings County — a bill he had verbally authored.

Pence wanted to have it both ways.

You know who also likes to have it both ways? Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell. After he voted to acquit President Donald Trump of insurrection for inciting the mob to attack at the Capitol, where he knew his own vice president would be, McConnell blasted Trump for inciting the riot and refusing to call in the National Guard while the assault was taking place.

The $740 billion spending bill became law on Jan. 1 despite Pence voting against it on July 21 and Dec. 8, federal records show. What this says is that other politicians — not of Pence’s district — care about the people in his district and he doesn’t. Pence also voted against overriding former President Donald Trump’s veto of the bill on Dec. 28.

Pence seems more interested in pleasing Trump than helping to provide jobs for the people in his district, which would provide tax revenue for the district.

Pence’s behavior seems to be that of a buffoon, or a very confused politician as to where his loyalty lies. I will leave it up to fellow readers to draw their own conclusion
