INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health said 897 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 660,942 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
A total of 12,125 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 27 from the previous day. Another 431 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record.
To date, 3,112,174 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 3,106,426 on Friday. A total of 7,989,954 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26, 2020.
Bartholomew County reported 7,440 positive tests (up 17) with 147 deaths (no change) as of Saturday.
Surrounding counties reported:
Jackson County: 4,643 positive cases (up two) with 66 deaths (up one).
Jennings County: 2,147 positive cases (up four) with 44 deaths (no change).
Decatur County: 2,704 positive cases (up three) with 88 deaths (no change).
Shelby County: 4,601 positive cases (up 13) with 90 deaths (no change).
Johnson County: 16,319 positive cases (up seven) with 356 deaths (no change).
Brown County: 949 positive cases (up one) with 39 deaths (no change).

Hoosiers age 60 and older, along with healthcare workers, long-term care residents and first responders who are regularly called to the scene of an emergency to render medical assistance, are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. To schedule, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211 if you do not have access to a computer or require assistance.
As of today, 981,769 Hoosiers have received a first dose of vaccine, and 552,241 are fully vaccinated.

The testing site in Columbus is located in FairOaks Mall at the former JC Penney location.
The Bartholomew Health Department and Windrose Health Network is also offering free COVID-19 testing.

Testing will be available to all members of the public regardless of symptoms. Children as young as 2 years of age can be tested with parental consent.
