Local teen conductor Carlos Lopez’s deeply diverse youth orchestra, known as Octo Carmonia, will be in concert at 6 p.m. Saturday at Terrace Lake Church, 4260 W. County Road 200S in Columbus. In keeping with that diversity theme, the event’s program will be printed in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Seating will include safe distancing and concertgoers will be required to wear masks. The ensemble will perform George Frideric Handel’s “Hallelujah” and other classical works. Lopez launched the music group in 2019 shortly after moving here from Ecuador.
