Anderson woman arrested after deputies find drugs in her purse

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County sheriff deputies arrested an Anderson woman after they found drugs in her purse after a traffic stop.

Deputy Grant Carlson stopped a vehicle at 12:06 a.m. Wednesday at State and Jones streets in Columbus, deputies said.

After making contact with the driver, identified as Desi Buckler, 37, Anderson, Carlson
smelled the odor of marijuana and located two corner cut plastic bags containing a white crystal-like substance in Buckler’s purse. The substance tested preliminarily positive for methamphetamine, deputies said.

Buckler was remanded to the Bartholomew County Jail on a preliminary charge of possession of methamphetamine (5-10 grams) – a Level 5 felony.
She remains in jail in lieu of $65,000 bond.
