Dottie is an approximately 4-year-old beagle mix and with her docked tail, flashy black and white markings and ticking she’s an adorable, 28-pound package! She came in as a stray and immediately stole all our hearts with her bouncy personality. She again stole our hearts when she tested positive for heartworm. Her post heartworm treatments will require 7-8 weeks of restricted activity (just no “zoomies”, ball playing etc.!) and lots of love so Dottie is looking for a foster-to-adopt or a foster home so she can have a quiet, calm place to rest after her heartworm treatments. BCHS will sponsor the cost of the heartworm treatment thanks to medical sponsorships from our generous donors.
Dorothy was released to us by her former owner and has been the sweetest girl since being at the shelter! She loves people, following the staff and volunteers around seeking all the attention. But she would prefer to not share her attention with others so a pet free home with older children would be best. Dorothy would love to spend time on the couch with you and is a great conversationalist! She loves to “chat” and may “talk your ear off”. Dorothy is 4 years old, spayed, current on her vaccinations and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
