Around Town – April 1

Orchids to …

• Webb’s Auto Center for fixing my Jeep.

• Michelle at Michelle Renaissance Beauty Salon for doing an amazing job cutting and coloring my hair; I get all kinds of compliments!

• President Joe Biden who one way or another will pass the new voting rights act.

• the sweet angel who went above and beyond to help me when I fell in the street Tuesday morning.

• Tamara Kiel for returning my key, from Peggy.

• Dr. Chris Iorio for being kind, caring and finding answers for my mother.

• Joe Biden, a president who speaks the truth, even if he has to refer to his notes.

Onions to …

• federal elected officials who are letting COVID-19, drugs and non-citizens into our country on the southern border.

• those who always expect childless coworkers to pick up their slack.

• those who don’t understand religious freedom applies to all religions, not just one.

• the previous federal elected official who didn’t use notes, because it could be used as evidence against him.

• those who think their personal wants and needs outweigh the need for this country to obliterate the pandemic, stop complaining, wear a mask, and wear it right until we get through this.

• those thinking lottery tickets could improve their lives rather than acquiring knowledge and improving one’s work skills.

• those still paranoid about their guns being taken away, you’ve complained about it for years and it hasn’t happened yet, and it won’t.

• paying millions of dollars to babysit and put up illegal citizens in hotels while we have so many issues and problems here to solve.

• tone-deaf elitists who blame the poor for being poor, not recognizing the system that wants to keep them there.

• those who believe workers making minimum wage aren’t trying to do better in their lives and usually have more than one job to make ends meet.

• those who think requiring an ID to vote is suppression, since nearly everything else in our lives requires it.

• those who do not realize to stop the moments of silence we need to start doing something about the carnage resulting in moments of silence.

• nothing being done about the excessive spend on Central Avenue.

• delivery services illegally using mailboxes for package delivery, violating the privacy of their customers.

• the party of socialists, race baiters, and never-ending taxation, a clear and present danger to democracy.

• former elected official for backing out when the country needed him most.
