County has appointment openings for vaccine clinic

Bartholomew County Health Department has appointment openings for a mass vaccine clinic from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds, to administer Moderna vaccine to eligible recipients.

The vaccine is available to those age 18 years or older and a photo ID or proof of age is required.

There are 1,300 doses available for the clinic and registration is required.

Individuals may register at ourshot.in.gov. Those without computer access may call 211, Thrive Alliance at 812-372-6918, Mill Race Center at 812-376-9241 or WellConnect at 812-376-5136 for assistance in registering.

There is no cost, but insurance may be charged an administrative fee. Those with insurance should bring their insurance card.

Moderna requires two doses administered 28 days apart to be fully vaccinated.
