Teams of local doctors, judges, engineers and business professionals competed in “Are You as Smart as an 8th Grader?” a fundraiser organized by Northside Middle School eighth-graders’ Global Studies Pathway team to help build water wells in areas of Africa.

Gov. Evan Bayh allotted more than $3 million in transportation funds for the city’s Front Door Project, specifically the overhaul and expansion of State Road 46 from Interstate 65 to the State Road 11 interchange.
