Crusaders get no-hitter
INDIANAPOLIS — Ethan Nickerson and Owen Reed combined on a four-inning no-hitter, and Columbus Christian won its first game of the season Monday, a 33-6 decision at Providence Cristo Rey.
Nickerson, who pitched the first 3 2/3 innings, also went 4 for 4 with a triple and three doubles and five RBIs at the plate. Reed, who got the final out on the mound, went 4 for 4 with four doubles and three RBIs.
Also for the Crusaders (1-2), Gabe Ridder went 3 for 5 with a double and two RBIs, and Cam Watts-Pritchard went 2 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs. Parker Walden and Jacob Conrad each had a double and two RBIs.
Lancers fall to Chargers
EDINBURGH — Edinburgh trailed only 1-0 after two innings, but North Decatur scored seven in the third and eight in the fourth on its way to a 16-2, five-inning MHC win.
Ian Buchanan went 2 for 3 with two RBIs for the Lancers (0-8, 0-5).

Columbus Christian wins
INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus Christian scored 20 runs in the third inning, including 17 with two out, to break open a close game and post a 33-11, five-inning victory at Providence Cristo Rey.
Madison Henderson went 3 for 4, Madi Blair went 3 for 6 and Emily Stair went 2 for 4 with a double and threw a five-hitter for the Crusaders (2-3). Kayla Jones went 2 for 4, and Kinidy Morgan and Sarah Lorimor each went 2 for 5 with a double.
EDINBURGH — Edinburgh scored 11 times in the first two innings and went on to post an 18-7, five-inning win against Indian Creek.
Catey Streeval went 2 for 3 with a home run and six RBIs for the Lancers (6-7). Kyah Streeval went 2 for 3 with a double, Morgan Calhoun went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs, Carly Cowan went 2 for 4 with three RBIs, Gracie Crawhorn had a home run and two RBIs and Kaitlyn Bailey added two RBIs.
Warriors blank Panthers
SCOTTSBURG — Scottsburg scored three times in the fourth and three more in the fifth to post a 6-0 win against Jennings County.
The Panthers (5-9) were limited to three hits.
Franklin stops Eagles
NASHVILLE — Franklin scored 11 times in the first inning and went on to hand Brown County a 29-12 defeat.
Savannah Oden went 3 for 3 for the Eagles (0-7). Abigail Watson went 2 for 3 with a double, and Kaitlyn Waltz went 2 for 3.

Panthers sweep East
Jennings County won four matches in straight sets in a 5-0 win at Columbus East.
Reagan Brown beat Cathrine Millwood 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 singles, Tatum Brown downed Katie Hong 6-4, 7-6 at No. 2 singles and Carmen Kopitzke topped Shruthika Kumar 6-4, 6-1 at No. 3 singles for the Panthers (9-1).
Jennings’ Sydney Carson and Liz Ertel defeated Cassidy Schnur and Monica Burton 7-5, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles. Faith Heaton and Cassidy Mull beat Katie Rieckers and Betsy Hoene 6-4, 6-7 (7), (11-9) at No. 2 doubles.
The Olympians fell to 2-7.
Jets down Cubs
MADISON — Madison won the No. 1 singles match, but Hauser took the other four to capture a 4-1 road victory.
Bella Kilps beat Trinity Stoner 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, and Kaitlynn Everroad downed Grace Pittman 7-5, 6-3 at No. 3 singles for the Jets (5-3). Aunaka Wasil and Emily Harker topped Maddie Cline and Paige Sentney 3-6, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles, and Charlie Clark and Gabby Johns defeated Taylor Hardin and Hailey Jenkins 7-5, 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.
Hauser’s Andie Clark fell to Kourtney Neukam 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles.
Lancers edge Lions
EDINBURGH — Edinburgh won three matches in straight sets in pulling out a 3-2 win against Rushville.
Annelise Lollar beat Alexis Fenimore 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, and Bethany Burton downed Lexey Yager 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles for the Lancers (2-6). Alyssa Funkhouser and Peyton Bryant topped Lily Yager and Josie Fields 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles.
Edinburgh’s Jessica Walsh fell to Audrey Gulley 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles. Gracie Myers and Zoey Sida lost to Isabella Wilson and Nova Tackett 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.
BOYS GOLF
Lancers top Eagles
EDINBURGH — Max Blandford won medalist honors with a 42 to lead Edinburgh to a 194-242 win against Brown County at Timbergate.
Trevor Moon carded a 46 for the Lancers. Mason Calhoun added a 51, Devyn Milburn shot 55, Keegan Smith had a 56 and Cash Cunningham finished with a 61.
Cooper VanNess led the Eagles with a 53. Clay Austin carded a 60, Jordan Burnett added a 63, Bradley Arndt shot 66 and Dylan Taylor had a 68.
